to Archie's Legacy, the web site belonging to Archie's
Legacy, the charitable trust whose namesake was our scrummy son Archie
Oliver M. Archie was affected by Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1 and died
aged 4 months and 22 days in May 2002.

One in forty people in the UK carry the gene for SMA but as carriers
are totally unaffected by the condition, they are unlikely to know this
until an affected baby is brought into the world. We will provide: For information regarding Archie's Legacy contact emma@archieslegacy.org.uk

and easy to apply for;
- information for professionals working with and supporting these
children and their families.
